There are many practical and interesting skills you can learn and develop when you are involved in community service projects. For example, if you organize or fundraise events, you can gain experience in project management. If you help promote upcoming events, you'll get real experience in marketing and social media strategy. If you lack professional experience, these tasks can be translated into work-related skills that will help you. They can also be useful if you want to transition to a new role.
This everyday adventure is possible thanks to our adult volunteers, who support Scouts in a wide range of roles from working directly with young people, to helping manage a Group, to being a charity Trustee. We help volunteers get the most out of their experiences at Scouts by providing opportunities for adventure, training, fun and friendship.
